“La Taqueria” Opening Second Location This July On Cambie Street Off West Broadway

Awesome news for taco lovers! West Hasting’s cool little La Taqueria will soon be cloned. Owner Marcelo Romero reports that he’s just picked up the 2549 Cambie address at West Broadway. He hopes to have the 1,200 sqft, 35 seater open by July 15th. We can expect a carbon copy of the menu as it reads on Hastings, with a few modifications. ¡Que tengas suerte!

  1. Right by Chronic Tacos! Maybe we should open a fixed location of Cartel Taco there too. We could call the area Tacotown, or something slightly more creative.

  2. I’m having our annual block party at our house just down from there at 5th and Alberta in August. I’m thinking we make it “Taco Days”. I’ll bring one of our Tacofino trucks and talk to Adam at Chronic. Anyone else interested?

  3. Michelle and I can’t wait for you guys to show in the West End. We were so stoked to know you were making the move.

  4. NICE! Just had lunch at the Hastings St. location today. It just keeps getting better and better with every visit!

  5. Good location its in proximity to Chronic Tacos on Yukon, so it will do very well im sure!!!

  6. Popped by for an, um, early lunch on their first day today, around 11:40 😀

Already 1/3 filled with customers. Service behind and outside the counter was going at a steady pace. Ordered my usual (Pender St) mix of pescado (fish), lengua (beef tongue), pastor and carnitas. All were on point like at Pender. Four for $9, couldn’t beat that.

By 12:15 a long line was forming at the door. I’m sure they’ll be a-buzzing for a few weeks to come.
