The Goods from Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie
Vancouver, BC | Bao Bei, Vancouver Chinatown’s destination for rustic Chinese small plates and inventive cocktails, is ringing in the Year of the Snake on January 29, 2025 with a special celebration featuring food, drink, Cantopop, and a special Lion Dance. Head chef Manny Castillo has designed a spectacular six-course prix fixe menu highlighting both the season and the spirit of prosperity — ushering in good luck, health, and abundance. Guests are encouraged to gather with friends and family, fill their bellies and bask in the red glow of the lanterns and songs of Asia’s past. Tickets are available via Tock.
“We always look forward to welcoming the Lunar New Year at Bao Bei with a special dinner event,” says Tannis Ling, who operates Bao Bei, Kissa Tanto, and Meo together with chefs Joël Watanabe and Alain Chow. “This year, we celebrate the Year of the Wood Snake, which represents growth, courage, and creativity. The menu Chef Manny has created with Joël is one of my favourites yet.”
