The GOODS from Mamie Taylor’s

Vancouver, BC | With the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs beginning this week for the Canucks, Mamie Taylor’s will be offering a game-night special, available before all Nucks home and away games. The Beer ’n Burger exactly what it sounds like: Mamie’s signature burger topped with melted Gouda, house-made baconnaise dressing, arugula, oven-dried tomatoes, dill pickle served with skinny fries and a pint of Red Truck Ale. The price: $16. Not bad, when you consider the burger by itself is usually $16. The Burger ’n Beer is available on all Canucks playoff game nights from 5 pm until the last notes of the national anthems. And Mamie’s hopes to serve it all the way to a Stanley Cup victory.

Named after its signature cocktail—a Golden Age concoction of scotch, fresh lime juice, ginger beer and Angustora bitters— Mamie Taylor’s is an 85-seat regional American restaurant specializing in Southern comfort food with a contemporary twist.

At the vanguard of Chinatown’s new culinary scene, the relaxed and casual ambiance of exposed brick walls and kitschy Canadiana play into the neighbourhood’s up-and-coming charm.
