We are currently seeking a General Manager for Cassette Cafe and Dive Bar, the lively hub that has quickly become the heartbeat of Ganges.

Housed in a reimagined 1950s service station, Cassette is a nod to the nostalgia of the mixtape era. We are the island’s go-to for a dual-experience: a bustling café by day and a gritty dive bar / restaurant atmosphere by night. We are about great people, food and drink.

You will be leading a team that thrives on lighthearted unpretentious service – casual in delivery, but hits all the technical marks. We are looking for someone who understands the unique rhythm of the Gulf Islands and can steer the ship of our busy indoor and outdoor spaces with charisma and drive.

You Will Bring to Us

* 2+ years leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
* You possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a “thinking outside the box” attitude—we love creative solutions.
* You possess a Serving it Right certificate.
* Strong beverage knowledge to oversee our cocktail, wine and local beer selection.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to chat up locals and tourists alike.
* Working knowledge of restaurant tech tools (POS systems, scheduling software, Excel).
* The ability to supervise, mentor, and refine an enthusiastic team—keeping the vibes high even during the rush.
* Experience conducting recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
* Collaboration with Ownership and the Kitchen team to drive business growth and keep the menu fresh and exciting.
* Oversight of inventory and cost control for liquor, beer, and wine.
* Active participation in community events to maintain our strong relationship with locals.
