We’re looking for a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our dual-concept location on Commercial Drive — home to La Tana and Pepino’s Spaghetti House. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of two beloved neighbourhood spots. It’s a dynamic role for a hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced service, is passionate about Italian food and wine, and takes pride in developing strong, culture-driven teams. You’ll oversee daily operations across both venues, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and collaborate closely with the Banda Volpi executive team to continue driving success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Manage, train, and develop front-of-house teams, providing ongoing support and feedback
Monitor inventory levels and place orders in coordination with the culinary team
Handle financial reporting, including cost control, labor management, and budget tracking
Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and clear communication across all departments
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure high-quality guest experiences
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
Ensure that Banda culture of fun, warmth, and authenticity is consistently upheld

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 5 years in restaurant management, with experience in high-volume settings
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house processes, inventory management, and financial reporting
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and managing a successful team
WSET II or equivalent wine knowledge is an asset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
A passion for Italian food and hospitality – you love the industry and are excited to share that passion with guests and the team
Ability to motivate and lead a team with positivity and efficiency
Excellent communication and organizational skills
A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$70,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience + gratuities

AVAILABILITY:

Five shifts per week
Must be available weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
