Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge Brings Back Its Afternoon Tea Service

The Goods from Bacchus

Vancouver, BC | One of Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge’s most popular and beloved dining experiences — its luxurious Afternoon Tea — is about to make a highly anticipated return for the first time since May. Available each weekend starting from September 21, 2024 until November 4, 2024, Flavours of Fall features a wide variety of sweet and savoury delights inspired by the coming season. Reservations are available online.

“Our guests have been asking when our Afternoon Tea service was going to make its return, and we’re thrilled to bring it back for the fall season,” says Elpie Marinakis, co-owner and managing director of Wedgewood Hotel & Spa, home to Bacchus (as well as Vancouver’s only Relais & Chateaux property). “Afternoon Tea is a great way to indulge on the weekends with loved ones and in the fall, there is a beautiful coziness to the experience in our dining room.”

Available Saturdays and Sundays from September 21 to November 4, 2024, guests are invited to revel in an irresistible selection of: finely cut Gourmet Sandwiches, including Classic English Cucumber and Cream Cheese on Sourdough, Deviled Egg with Salmon Caviar, and a tartlet of East Coast Lobster Tartare; Freshly Baked Scones and Crumpets with Clotted Cream and House-made Preserves; Pastries and Sweets, such as Pumpkin Spice Profiteroles and Hazelnut Chocolate Roulade; and a choice of a dozen premium loose-leaf teas to suit every taste, including two special fall flavours – Spiced Chai Blend and Hand Smoked Lapsang Souchong.

Additionally, guests have the option of enhancing their experience with a selection of sparkling wines available by the glass or bottle, as well as a decadent Seafood Platter featuring West Coast oysters and prawns with classic condiments.

“I curated this menu based on fall inspirations, Bacchus’s cozy fireplace, and the complex taste profiles that will come in the winter,” adds Samson Iza-Fellows, pastry chef, Bacchus. “Guests have the opportunity to truly relax and savour the treats in our new Afternoon tea.”

Flavours of Fall Afternoon Tea ($72++) takes place Saturdays and Sundays only from September 21 to November 4, 2024, exclusively in the Bacchus dining room. Seatings are at 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a two-hour seating time. Reservations are highly recommended.
