Aurora Bistro | Place/Restaurant (closed) | One of Vancouver’s first locavore restaurants. It included an all BC wine list originally developed by Kurtis Kolt, who has since moved on to become a wine writer. Launched by former Bishop’s sous chef Jeff Van Geest (pictured above, now cooking in the Okanagan at Miradoro), it was located at 2420 Main Street and closed in the Fall of 2008.
Usage | “I’ve lived in Mount Pleasant for so long that when Aurora Bistro opened I thought they were crazy….”
We lived in East Van so long, we named our child Aurora after the great bistro
Wow! I used to work there!
