The Flamingo Room and Vancouver Cocktail Week to Spotlight Vancouver’s Female Bar Talent

Vancouver, BC | The Flamingo Room and Vancouver Cocktail Week are putting a spotlight on Vancouver’s female bar personalities with two events focused on women driving growth and innovation in the industry.

“Too often in our industry, women are overlooked despite their immense talent,” says Alexa Greenman, Beverage Director for The Flamingo Room and Havana Vancouver. “We want to shine a spotlight on these women’s stories, challenges and triumphs, and toast to their strength and hard work.”

First, on March 4th is A Seat At Her Bar. Greenman will play host to Tara Davies (Chupito), Winnie Sun (ELEM, Zarak), Taylor Gardiner (Bar Corso), and Tadia Rae (Pizza Coming Soon) for an interactive question and answer session, giving a platform to the talent, creativity, and resilience of these four shining stars in Vancouver’s bar scene.

Then, on March 6th, join whisky curator Stacy Kyle for Spirited Women, an evening of bold flavours, inspiring stories, and memorable connection. This “tasting tour” is an exploration of whiskies handpicked by Kyle, paired with stories of women who have made an impact on the whisky world.

“We have partnered with some great brands and great people who share our passion for driving equality, and who, like us, want to walk the walk,” Greenman adds.

Tickets for both events include light snacks and drinks, and are available through Vancouver Cocktail Week’s website. Due to the nature of the space, tickets are limited.
