Six Years Ago This Week, Inside the Construction of Gastown’s PiDGiN

Six years ago this week I looked inside what would eventually become PiDGiN restaurant at 350 Carrall Street in Gastown. You might recall that back in February of this year we published a #TBT on what the place looked like on opening day; this is what it looked like when they were up to their eyeballs in construction.

My memory of it being a hive of activity that day is supported by the gallery of images below, which includes a shot of the French-Asian restaurant’s opening chef, Makoto Ono (who went on to open the excellent Mak N Ming in Kits). Take a look…
