Record Row

Welcome to the Vancouver Lexicon. Its purpose is to pin down the patois of the City of Vancouver by recording its toponyms, nicknames, slang terms, personalities, places, and other Van-centric things. Full A-Z here.

Record Row | history | The 500 block of Seymour Street. In the 1980s and early 90s it was packed with record stores, among them Track Records, Sam the Record Man, A&B Sound, Odyssey Imports, A&A, and Collector’s RPM. Sadly, not a single record store remains on Record Row today.

Usage: “I miss going down to Record Row on a Saturday afternoon and blowing my cash tips on a shit tonne of vinyl.”
