La Tana Invites You to a One-Night-Only Collaborative Pop-Up with Wildweed, Aug. 6th

The Goods from Caffè La Tana

Vancouver, BC | On August 6, La Tana is welcoming James Beard Award finalist Chef David Jackman for a one-night-only collaborative pop-up alongside our own Chef Phil Scarfone.

Before co-founding Wildweed in Cincinnati – named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants of 2024 – Chefs David and Lydia Jackman travelled across the United States to learn about their craft and refine their technique, hosting over 225 pop-ups and hand-forming hundreds of thousands of noodles in the process.

For this one-night event, Wildweed joins Banda Volpi Culinary Director Phil Scarfone in the kitchen for an alla carta service that defies genres to showcase the chefs’ shared love of local ingredients, experimentation, and fearless approach to technique.

Think arancini alla puttanesca with fior di latte, anchovy, and basil; caramelized zucchini and ricotta mezzelune made with turmeric and seaweed dough, dotted with Taleggio espuma; beeswax ice cream with honey, olive oil, and fennel pollen… each dish designed to reflect the expertise and intention of chefs so familiar with the rules, they’re not afraid to break them.

Though we always welcome walk-ins, reservations are strongly encouraged for this special, one-night-only collaboration.
