Join the Hero’s Welcome Car Free Day Block Party, Sept. 15th

Vancouver, BC | Hero’s Welcome is throwing a block party! In collaboration with Main St. Car Free Day and the Mount Pleasant Business Association, on Sunday, September 15 we’ll be closing off the 100 block of E 23rd Ave. from 12-7PM for a day of community, delicious food and drink, and music.

Leave the car at home and walk, bike, roll or scoot your way down to Main and 23rd where we’ll be serving up pizza by the slice, ice cold bevs and featuring some great live music from local artists:

1:00PM – The Potentials
2:15PM – Infidels Jazz presents Jason De Couto Trio
3:30PM – JP Maurice
4:45PM – Spank Williams
5:45PM – Classics by Classic (DJ)

Full food and drink menu will also be available all day.

The Hero’s Welcome Block Party is free to attend and open to all ages (minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). The event will cap off a great weekend of music at Hero’s starting on Friday, Sept. 13 with DJ Sincerely Hana at 10PM (no cover), followed by two shows on Saturday, Sept. 14 – Saturday Sounds at 2PM featuring “the James Brown of Vancouver” Kentish Steele and The Shantelles ($10 cash at the door) and a free show at 7PM celebrating Red Cat Records’ 22nd Anniversary featuring Theremin Man, Frog Eyes, and Carolyn Mark and Her New Best Friends.
