Japanese Cult Horror Flick “House!” to Screen at The Cinematheque

Ready your brain for a real nuking because it hasn’t been melted until you’ve watched the 1970s Japanese cult horror flick, “House!” It’s about a group of young girl schoolmates vacationing at an aunt’s house in the countryside. That might sound innocuous, but the film is full of ridiculously trippy effects that will completely change how you look at a lot of things, including watermelon. It’s a haunted house tale unlike anything else out there, which is why it’s at the top of my annual Halloween film shortlist. Check it out properly next Tuesday night on the big screen. See you at The Cinematheque!

Tue, Oct. 24 | 7:30-10:30pm | Pacific Cinematheque (1131 Howe St.) | 19+ | TICKETS
