Film on Bartending Legend Charles Schumann Screens Friday at Vancity Theatre

If it were possible to absorb a film’s gastronomic aspects via osmosis, then “Schumann’s Bar Talks” would probably get you spectacularly and fashionably drunk. Marieke Schroeder’s latest film is set to screen at the 36th Annual Vancouver International Film Festival  this Friday night. In it you can live vicariously through the titular bartending ingenue – 76-year-old Munich cocktail connoisseur and owner of Schumann’s Bar, Charles Schumann – as he embarks on an extensive and envy-inducing tour of the world’s most iconic bars. Schroeder’s documentary promises to be as much a portrait of the iconic barman as it is of the intricacies of bar culture. Get your tickets HERE.
