The Goods from Acorn
Vancouver, BC | For one night only, we’re turning Acorn into a Flower Day Wine pop-up wine bar!
Join us Thursday, March 19 as we welcome back Acorn alum and close friend James Miziolek for a laid-back, wine-forward evening celebrating the first vintage from Flower Day Wine.
This harvest marks James’ 10th year making wine, with time spent in the Okanagan, the Lower Mainland, and most recently Georgia. Before transitioning fully into production, James worked in wine programs across Vancouver, including years at The Acorn, where he first fell hard for local ingredients and the idea of letting place lead the story. That philosophy became the backbone of Flower Day Wine: a small, quality-driven project focused on sourcing grapes locally from the Lower Mainland and shining a light on B.C.’s lesser-known grape growing regions. The wines are naturally fermented, unfined, and unfiltered – made to showcase the vineyard and fruit in their truest form.
What to expect:
- A focused, Acorn-made menu designed to highlight the wines on offer
- À la carte dining, with an option to add a curated wine flight
- James on-site to pour, chat, and share the story behind each bottle
- Special bottle pricing and very good vibes all night
Come early, stay late, and raise a glass with us to local grapes, old friends, and new beginnings. Reservations encouraged, walk-ins welcome.
