You Need To Try These Delicious Little Cappuccino Companions at La Tana

As I’ve started to snack my way through the assorted pastries at the newly opened La Tana on Commercial Drive, I’ve found these little beauties to be (so far) the tastiest. They may look a little like the Capezzoli di Venere (“Nipples of Venus”) from Milos Forman’s 1984 masterpiece, Amadeus, but they’re really just simple doughnut rounds sweetened with a little vanilla cream and a light dusting of delight. And though they look grotesquely decadent and sugary as hell – like a timbit, say – you can actually taste the dough over the sugar noise, which makes them ideal as a cappuccino companion.
