You Need To Try These Little Blueberry Pies in East Van

You Need To Try This is a running archive of all the awesome drinks and dishes we’ve come across over the course of our professional and private lives (or at least the ones we had the presence of mind and patience to photograph before they got in our bellies).

With this weather we’ve been having it’s easy to be fooled into thinking that summer has arrived. This is especially true when the French sisters at The Pie Shoppe start whipping out adorable little organic blueberry pies like these. We took four of the sweet and flaky bursts of deliciousness home over the weekend to finish our first BBQ of the season and they did not disappoint.

We’re hoping they’ll be making more on the regular. I know they do larger blueberry pies, but these little ones were absolutely new to me, just like their newly refreshed interior, which is the silver lining result of some unfortunate flood trouble they endured over the winter. If you haven’t been in for a look yet, here’s just a glimpse of the great job they did.
