You Need To Try the Emerald City Cocktail at Gastown’s Pourhouse

You don’t need to follow the yellow brick road or click your ruby-slippered heels in order to enjoy a little piece of Oz. Instead, just slap on a pair of rain boots and follow Water Street to Pourhouse for an Emerald City cocktail. The mule-inspired drink combines classic autumnal flavours like apple, ginger and cinnamon with Fino sherry bringing a nuttiness that plays beautifully with the cocktail’s citrus notes. The drink is topped with a delicate apple fan inspired by the glowing green peaks of the Emerald City itself. Pro tip: While you’re there, consider ordering the burger as Pourhouse makes one of the best in town. Because nothing goes better with a ginger beer-based cocktail than a perfectly cooked burger and a side of fries!
