Ramenland | Foodonym/Nickname | A nickname given to the T-shaped section of the West End, on account of its high concentration of Japanese restaurants, the most famous among them being Kintaro, Kingyo, Motomachi Shokudo, Santouka, and Marutama. Its 8 blocks are those on Robson between Denman and Nicola and between Alberni and Barclay on Denman. It’s somewhat of an exclusionary misnomer, as Ramenland is also home to several Korean mentionable eateries, including Damso, Jang Mo Jib, and Sura.
Usage | “Let’s head over to Ramenland and dig into some gyoza, ramen, and karaage.”
