Erickson, Arthur | Person | If Glasgow is characterized by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Vancouver is definited by Arthur Erickson. Robson Square, the Law Courts, the Museum of Anthropology, SFU, the New Portland Hotel, The Waterfall Building, and a series of post-and-beam, glass-and-wood modernist residences are his legacy. He was also reportedly quite the bon-vivant. Erickson passed away in 2009.
Usage: “I’m pretty sure Arthur Erickson designed Vancouver.”
