Downtown Ambassador | Organisation | The Downtown Ambassadors are a now defunct security initiative by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association . A more smarmy Guardian Angel, these silly red hats were basically doing the work of the police only with minimal training. They were the subject of a human rights complaint for harassing the homeless and the city-funded program was terminated when Vision Vancouver came to power.
