The Goods from Tacofino
Vancouver, BC | Tacofino is kicking off 2025 with a meaningful initiative to support community wellness. This January, Tacofino and Strange Fellows Brewing are teaming up for a fundraising effort in support of the Coast Mental Health Foundation, providing critical programs and services to those living with mental illness and substance use disorders.
From January 6th to January 31st, $2 from every sale of Strange Fellows’ NEVERtheLESS Non-Alcoholic Pale Ale, and Tacofino’s refreshing mocktails, will be donated to the Foundation. Guests can participate at any Tacofino location in Metro Vancouver and Tacofino Squamish.
“We’re big supporters of the amazing work Coast Mental Health Foundation does for our community,” says Jamie Cholack, Head of Food & Beverage at Tacofino. “We’ve also seen increasing interest from our guests for non-alcoholic drink options, so we’re excited to tie this growing demand into a fundraiser that makes a difference.”
According to Coast Mental Health Foundation, 1 in 5 British Columbians currently face a mental illness or substance use disorder. “With support from businesses like Tacofino and Strange Fellows Brewing, we’re able to provide critical resources for recovery,” says Isabela Zabava, Executive Director of Coast Mental Health Foundation. “This includes peer support training, employment opportunities, and other transformative programs.”
Strange Fellows Brewing’s Nick Black highlights the meaningful impact of the partnership: “Collaborating with Tacofino and Coast Mental Health Foundation aligns perfectly with our mission to offer inclusive choices and raise awareness around substance use. Our NEVERtheLESS Non-Alcoholic Pale Ale is a flavour-packed, full-bodied beer that doesn’t compromise on taste or enjoyment.”
Tacofino’s mocktail offerings, designed with variety in mind, include the Coconut Mint Collins, Tropical Lemonade, and House Made Ginger Beer (availability varies by location). Guests can explore these drink options while contributing to a vital cause in their community.
