Restaurant Porn is a regular column of daydreams presented as a means to introduce Vancouver diners and designers to concepts, looks, and fully-formed ideas that they might draw an inkling of inspiration from. We do our best to pair the foreign rooms with local addresses so as to let everyone in on the daydream.

(via) Even though Vancouver evidently has tacos pretty well sorted at the moment, we still can’t help but covet this tightly wrought operation in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico. It reminds us of a three-way cross between Pizzeria Farina, Meat & Bread, and La Taqueria — a really thoughtfully executed top-to-bottom concept with every facet of it dreamed up and dialled by design firm Manifiesto Futura (everything from the branding on the retail salsa bottles and the blond wood furniture to the stark exterior and the simple lighting). We’d take a reasonable facsimile of Taqueria Canalla somewhere close to the beach in Kitsilano or on the Dundarave strip in West Van.
