Vancouver, BC | 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters in Kitsilano is looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled, experienced and hard-working barista to join our team. We take pride in our direct trade sourcing program and our green coffee buyer and coffee education team offer a wealth of knowledge and opportunity to learn about coffee. We offer competitive wages, a positive work environment, and extended benefits after one year of full time employment.

The ideal candidate will have:

– At least one year of barista experience in a fast paced specialty coffee shop
– A good understanding of espresso and drip coffee methods
– Excellent customer service experience, an outgoing personality and the desire to continually improve the customer experience

– Enthusiasm about our products and an approachable personality
– Availability to work a variety of shifts between 6:30am and 8:30pm over a 7 day period

We are a happy team of baristas who love what they do and wish to add another member to our team who possess the same desire to learn and develop their skills and coffee knowledge. In the summer of 2012, 49th Parallel launched Lucky’s Doughnuts, because, really, what goes better with coffee than a French Cruller, an Old Fashioned or an Apple Fritter? Our original recipes and seasonal creations continue to amaze customers with exciting and unexpected flavour combinations, taking doughnuts from the everyday to extraordinary. Lucky’s Doughnuts are made fresh from scratch throughout the day, using only the finest natural ingredients and are available exclusively at the 49th Parallel Cafés at 2902 Main Street and in 2198 West 4th Ave. in Kitsilano.
