Vancouver, BC | The Acorn is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Bartender to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainability, and we’re looking for someone who shares these values.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and manage an innovative bar program that aligns with The Acorn’s ethos of creativity and sustainability, including crafting seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
– Collaborate closely with local suppliers to source high-quality, local spirits, beers and ingredients, ensuring our bar menu supports and celebrates the community.
– Lead and inspire the bar team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous learning.
– Maintain an unwavering focus on minimizing waste in line with our zero-waste initiatives, ensuring sustainable practices are implemented in all bar operations.
– Ensure a high level of customer service by engaging with guests and providing a memorable experience that reflects The Acorn’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
– Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure the bar runs efficiently and profitably.
– Train and mentor staff on the bar menu, cocktail techniques, and sustainable practices
– Serving tables as needed within our collaborative, team driven environment

Qualifications:

– Previous bar management experience in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant or bar.
– A passion for sustainability and experience implementing zero-waste practices.
– Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both the bar and kitchen teams.
– Creative flair and a passion for crafting unique cocktails with an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients.
– Knowledge of local suppliers and a commitment to supporting the local community.
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
– WSET Level 2 or equivalent

The Details:

4 full floor shifts per week (Friday and Saturday Nights included)
Competitive compensation based on experience.
