For Italian-Style Autumn Comfort, Join Bar Corso’s Wine Pairing Dinner on Oct. 8th

As the evenings get cooler, there’s something innately comforting about a well-crafted meal paired with great wine. On Tuesday, October 8th, Bar Corso has got you covered, with a six-course dinner inspired by the flavours of Piedmont and Tuscany.

Just for the night, Chef Luke Boswell and his Corso crew are teaming up with winemakers Guido Orzalesi from Castello La Leccia and Matteo Calvaruso from Castello di Perno to bring the best of both regions to your table. Expect dishes like Carne Cruda all’Albese (basically an Italian-style steak tartare) and Bistecca Fiorentina (a famous steak dish from Tuscany), paired with wines such as Barolo DOCG 2017 and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione ‘Bruciagna’ 2020. The evening rolls out with antipasti and cicchetti at 6pm; then it’s straight into cena (dinner) and vino at 6:30pm. Tickets for the evening are $150 per person. Check out more of what to expect below:

Menu Highlights
Carne Cruda all’Albese: Beef Tartare, Shaved Porcini, Truffle, Egg Yolk & Parmesan
Tonno Tonnato: Albacore Tuna & Capers
Prosciutto e Fiche: Prosciutto, Local Figs, Arugula & Olive Oil
Ragu di Cervo con Papardelle: Venison Ragu, House Papardelle, Parmigiano Reggiano
Bistecca Fiorentina e Cavolo Nero: Grilled Porterhouse Steak & Black Kale
Formaggi: Pecorino Toscano, Gorgonzola, Honeycomb & Crostini

If after filling up on multiple courses of excellent Italian fare you’re still not ready to call it a night, then why not stick around for happy hour! Grab an Amaro or Grappa (Corso boasts one of the best selections in the city) or let the bartenders hook you up with a killer cocktail to end the evening right. Count us in!

Note: In order for the restaurant to properly plan and prepare, any cancellations within 48 hours will be subject the full charge of the tickets. Get your tickets here.
