Kitsilano’s Celebrated ‘Cacao’ Gets Set To Open Second Floor Lounge Next Week

by Andrew Morrison | Kitsilano’s acclaimed Progressive Latin-inspired restaurant Cacao getting an upstairs lounge next week (or the week following) complete with new bar and patio. There will be 20 seats inside and another 10 outside. Chef Jefferson Alvarez showed me around the space last week (when it was a bit of a mess) and explained that the plan is for a casual snack menu.     1. It’ll never work the numbers just don’t add up as the former owners know they tried the same thing-threw a party and no one came.

      Plus that corner is deadsville as is the whole street-the most ‘action’ happens when a crowd of preschoolers is leaving Rocky Mountain Flatbread next door.
