The Goods from Beaucoup Bakery
Vancouver, BC | This Easter, Beaucoup Bakery (2150 Fir Street) is hatching up a new line-up of whimsical sweets and pastries. From its popular Dino-Mite Easter Egg, to Oreo “fossil” cheesecake, and Cocoa-saurus bonbons, there is something for the whole family with Beaucoup’s new Jurassic Easter Collection — available now for a limited time until April 21, 2025. Pre-orders are available online.
“Our Easter creations are always about bringing a sense of joy, fun, and comfort for all ages,” pastry chef Betty Hung, who co-owns Beaucoup Bakery with her brother Jacky Hung. “This year, we’re bringing back our Dino-Mite Easter Egg, which is filled with goodies for people to crack into. We’re also highlighting textures, pastel colours, and seasonal ingredients such as rhubarb in our new collection. And of course, no Easter is complete without hot cross buns.”
Beaucoup Bakery’s new Jurassic Easter Collection is available at both its Fir Street and Dunsmuir locations. Select items, such as larger cakes, need to be pre-ordered ahead of time for pick-up. The collection features:
Dino-mite Egg ($52) – A dark chocolate shell speckled with colourful sprinkles, hiding a surprise plush dinosaur toy inside. Comes with a small wooden hammer to help ‘crack’ the egg open.
Eggstravagant Chocolate Bar ($12) – Rich dark chocolate bar topped with crunchy, pastel-coloured milk chocolate eggs.
Cocoa-saurus Bonbons ($26 for 12) – Handcrafted chocolate bonbons featuring two flavours: banana vanilla caramel and macadamia crunchy duja centre.
Rhubarb Cheesecake Croissant ($6.25) – Beaucoup’s new seasonal croissant featuring roasted orange infused rhubarb, gingersnap crumble, cheesecake frangipane baked on Beaucaoup’s classic butter croissant, then topped with vanilla glaze and sprinkles.
Classic Hot Cross Buns ($3.50 each / $28 for a pack of 8) – Made with buttery brioche, glazed citrus peel, rum-soaked currants, and finished with spiced icing.
Melona Slice ($10.95 per slice / $80 for whole cake, serves 8–10) – A refreshing vanilla melon cake layered with cantaloupe mousse, passionfruit-soaked génoise, and passionfruit mousse, then finished with a glossy glaze and fresh berries.
Oreo Fossil Cheesecake ($10.95 per slice / $80 for whole cake, serves 8–10) – A nostalgic creation, this cheesecake features layers of Oreo cookie base, coffee chocolate brownie, and Oreo cheesecake topped with coffee ganache, Oreo crumble, and milk chocolate eggs.
“We hope our guests will bring a piece of Beaucoup Bakery into their homes for Easter this year – whether it’s for brunch, Easter egg hunts, or just because,” adds Betty.
