The Goods from the BC Hospitality Foundation
Vancouver, BC | The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is best known as Canada’s only registered charity that supports those in the hospitality industry facing financial crisis due to a health condition. The charitable organization also helps develop the next generation of industry members by offering a range of scholarships. In 2021 the BCHF will be granting several different types of scholarships to individuals pursuing an education in the hospitality field.
Industry Scholarship
Industry Scholarships are available annually for children of hospitality workers whose parents have worked in the industry for more than 5 years, and who are themselves planning a course of study leading to any hospitality diploma or degree.

The Greg King Scholarship at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts
The King family is offering a yearly $1,500 scholarship to students enrolled in a culinary program at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts who are passionate about cooking. Apply here.
The Chef Nik Lim Scholarship
This $2000 scholarship was created to honour the memory of Chef Nik Lim. One of the brightest lights on Vancouver’s culinary scene, Nik passed away in 2019. Nessa Van Bergen and Chef Dino Renaerts of Bon Vivant Catering & Events initiated the scholarship as a tribute to their colleague. Apply here.
British Columbia Wine Industry Scholarship and Education (BC WISE)
Created in 2020 to support individuals wishing to further their career in the British Columbia wine industry. Applicants should be pursuing a career in winemaking, viticulture or as a wine business executive and plan to work the first 2 years of their career in the BC wine industry.

Hospitality Scholarships
Recipients are chosen by respective program deans, chairs and faculty from each eligible post-secondary institution. Students must be enrolled in their final year of study and be at least 19 years of age. Check our website to see if your school is on the list and contact your Dean.
Emily Sheane Graphic Design Scholarship
Sponsored by Joe Fortes Seafood and Chop House and Moraine Estate Winery.The scholarship is open to individuals currently enrolled, or recently completed, BCIT’s Graphic Design program (part-time or full-time) and working in the hospitality business to support themselves and their education.
