Al Fresco “Farmacie” Dinner At Klipper’s Organic Farm

by Michelle Sproule | With August days quietly dropping behind us, our inner angst has been boiling big time about spending too many hours at our desks and on our computers, which is ridiculous because we know how important it is to appreciate summer while it’s still here. We needed a chance to sit down at a long table on a farm for a great meal with friends.

We got that chance a couple of nights ago in the Similkameen Valley. The good folks at Farmacie had organised a collaborative vegetarian supper at Klipper’s Organic Farm with nearby Seven Stones Winery and chefs Rob Clarke and Brian Luptak of Vancouver’s own Acorn. It was a pretty magical night; a game day decision we won’t soon forget.

Klipper’s farm dinners are over for the season but you can still pick up their produce at Vancouver Farmer’s Markets. Better still, if you’re kicking about Cawston, drop in for a tour and say hi to farmers Kevin and Annamarie Klippenstein. They’re located at 2200 Ferko Road. Take a look and dig in…
