Design Find: The Divide Table

I live in a land of designer-appointed colour schemes, stylish couches and flat screen everything. Everyone in my neighbourhood seems to have just found the perfect tiles for their guest bathroom or the ideal coffee table to complete their newly renovated living room.

Not me. My rented apartment is furnished with flea market finds, hand-me-down electronics and Ikea everywhere in between. But I like to dream, and this week I am dreaming of how swell it would be to have a living room sleek and orderly enough to accommodate the “Divide” table by local furniture designer Grant Wyllychuck (linkage).

The table is available at Yaletown’s ODI Gallery. (883 Hamilton – next door to the Firehall at the corner of Hamilton and Smithe). ODI promotes “art and designs from both established and up-and-coming Canadian artists, designers, and architects.” Seriously beautiful stuff. Check it out at odigallery.com
