Chef Angus An is opening his fifth restaurant next month on Granville Island. Located in the Net Loft sharing common area seats, the noodle stall will be called Sen Pad Thai (1666 Johnston Street). Inspired by the food stalls of Chanthaburi in Thailand, the focus will be on dry long noodle dishes served with sides and snacks. It will be open daily from 10am to 7pm. From the press release:

“The menu is being finalized, but will focus on stir fried noodles similar to pad Thai, flavoured with spices, herbs, and proteins like chicken, pork, beef, and seafood. Side dishes will also be on offer, from Thai chicken wings to lighter fare like papaya salad. Chef Angus is also planning a small selection of desserts featuring flavours like pandan, taro and coconut, and drinks will include Pok Pok sodas and Thai iced tea. Sen Pad Thai will be open for eat-in or take-out orders.”

An’s other restaurants are Maenam, Fat Mao, Freebird, and Longtail Kitchen.
