Upstart & Crow is Hosting an Evening of ‘Lit & Libations’ on Sept. 19th

Your studious days might be long over…but regardless, ’tis the season to embrace the spirit of ‘back to school’! For some new literary inspiration, we suggest snagging a ticket to this month’s Lit & Libations event, happening at Upstart & Crow on Friday, September 19th.

To be clear, this one is definitely not for the kiddos. Because, in addition to an evening of “literary matchmaking” – where you can enlist the bookish pros at U&C to find books that hit the spot for your reading cravings – it also features a lineup of specially selected local wines to sip on in the meantime. Think thoughtful pours from the likes of Black Sage Vineyard (Black Sage Bench), Nk’Mip Cellars (Osoyoos), See Ya Later Ranch (Okanagan Falls), and Saintly Wines.

Tickets are $40 each, or two for $70 if you’re making a date out of it. Each ticket includes your first (generous) pour of wine, a $25 gift card for U&C purchases, and all the knowledge and reading recommendations you can squeeze out of the night’s designated “book sommeliers” (Robyn Smith, Michelle Cyca, and Megan Lau). There are two 90-minute time slots available, beginning at 6pm or 8pm. Lock in your preferred choice here.
