Internment | History | Like the Indian Act and the Chinese Exclusion Act, the internment of the Japanese during the Second World War is another lasting shame and relic of our racist past. The effects can be seen in Vancouver’s Japantown, where Japanese businesses were seized and the neighbourhood fell into disrepair.
