About Road 13

Located in the heart of the South Okanagan, on the Golden Mile Bench, Road 13 Vineyards is a road worth travelling. Farming all 74 kilometres of our vineyards one vine at a time is how we make big, bold wine.

The diversity of the dirt is part of what makes the wines so delicious. Our roots run deep in this valley and that means we know this place like the back of our hands. The secret’s in the soil and in our case, soil that’s been thousands of years in the making.
Some of the oldest Chenin Blanc vines in North America are planted right here in our vineyard. These vines produce less fruit than younger vines, resulting in complex, concentrated flavours. Respecting the fruit means bottling with tradition, making our Sparkling Chenin Blanc collection truly celebration-worthy.
Experience has taught us that you can’t make great wine without good dirt and hard work. We farm organically here. It’s our way of taking good care of this place we call home. It’s not always easy, but it produces honest, quality wines and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Barclay Robinson believes in making approachable, easy-drinking wines so he picks grapes with just the right mix of balance and brightness. Barclay’s background as a Sommelier comes in handy in the field and the cellar and helps him consistently deliver true, honest-to-goodness wines season after season.
