(via) This gorgeous house in the Coyoacán district of Mexico City is anchored by an airy, double height library fashioned from rough concrete. It comes complete with its own cantilevered staircase and gallery walkway accesses the higher up volumes. The entire room is elevated on a raised platform set with paving slates and strewn with sculpture and mismatched furniture, including a lovely old Eames chair. The three bedroom home belongs to a sculptor/fashion designer couple with two kids. Also of desirous note: a bathtub worthy of marvel and some seriously bold vermillion exterior frontage. We’d take our version of it somewhere north of 4th in Kitsilano.
