The Goods from The Parkside Brewery

Vancouver, BC | On Friday, February 7th, The Parkside Brewery and Four Winds Brewing will launch the Pink Whistle Cherry Berliner Weisse beer brewed in support of the Pink Whistle Campaign. This initiative will raise funds and awareness for the BC Cancer Foundation.

Founded 16 years ago by local basketball referee Karn Dhillon, the Pink Whistle Campaign honours those affected by cancer. The campaign has since raised nearly $300,000 for cancer research through the sale of pink whistles and community engagement, bringing together over 600 referees, players, coaches, and fans across BC.

“After my sister, nephew, and fellow referee were diagnosed with cancer, I knew I needed to rally people to make a difference,” said Dhillon. “The Pink Whistle beer is a fun, tangible way for people to support a cause that means so much to all of us.”

The collaboration between Parkside and Four Winds, both known for their community involvement, was a natural fit. The Pink Whistle Cherry Berliner Weisse, brewed with cherries and Himalayan pink salt, offers a crisp, balanced beer with a classic sour kick. For every 4-pac sold, $4 will be donated to the BC Cancer Foundation.

The beer will be available at both breweries’ tasting rooms and select retail and on-premise locations across the Lower Mainland. Support the cause by purchasing the beer or donating online.
