The Goods from This is Wine School
Vancouver, BC | This is Wine School travels to the Sunshine Coast to host a wine tasting class, incorporating harvest elements from the farm into the class as we go. This is a unique opportunity to taste wine in a picture-perfect setting and to hopefully draw meaningful connections between food sensory memory and wine tasting.
Join us on the farm on August 20th from 6-8pm for a special version of ‘It Tastes Like Grapes: Wine Tasting 101’. Inspired by summer harvest and the many in-season fruits and veggies, this sensory wine tasting will incorporate an assortment of different aromatic elements grown at Shady Hazel Farm (Gibsons) to narrow in on what different wines smell and taste like. Taught by BC’s Best Sommelier 2023, Kelcie Jones, and Maude Renaud-Brisson of Apéro Mode, this class will teach you to explore your own palate, differentiate between aromas and learn the basic structure inherent in wine. Guests will taste five different glasses throughout the evening all while enjoying the magic of Shady Hazel Farm at the height of summer.
