☔️ POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN! 🌧️ 😢 For Big Fun- and DIY-Loving Vibes, Hit Dude Chilling Park This Saturday!

The Zummer Zine Zocial is happening this weekend! According to organizers at Moniker Press and Zine Harvest, it will be a ‘community zine and book picnic’ – aka one heck of a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the park (weather permitting – knock on wood!)

This Saturday, August 24th, rustle up a group of your art-loving friends and pack a bag with picnic essentials – but save room for all the rad locally made DIY stuff you’re bound to find – and then make your way to Dude Chilling Park in Mount Pleasant from 10am to 4pm, to soak up some good DIY vibes. Got a well-read, pre-loved zine collection to share/swap for new stuff? Pack it. Or perhaps you’re sitting on some of your own handmade zines? If you’ve got ’em, bring ’em! Besides scoping out other folks’ DIY publications, this is also your chance to put your own out into the world, while meeting and making connections with a community of creative and friendly peers. (However, if you are planning on contributing, then letting the ZZZ team know with an RSVP is nice. Directions on how to do that – as well as other handy event info – can be found here.)

For the full rundown, head to the Moniker Press Instagram page here and click on the ‘ZZZ 24’ icon in their Stories higlights section (be sure to watch it through to the end in order to get all of the updated/important info). And stay tuned to both Moniker Press and Zine Harvest’s IG feeds for updates in the days leading up to Saturday.

A Neighbourhood-Wide Invitation to Wander Chinatown
