DINER: “The Acorn” Set To Open On Main St. Tonight, And There Was Much Rejoicing

by Andrew Morrison | We took a look inside The Acorn at 3995 Main St. the other night and had a unsurprisingly delicious taste of things to come. The highly anticipated vegetarian restaurant in the old Cipriano’s location is all finished now and should open without a hitch tonight (Tuesday, knock on wood). Though the opening is supposed to be “soft”, I imagine it will be something of a bumrush for owners Shira Blustein and Brian Skinner. Folks are real excited about this one, and for good reason. Get all the background you need here and see what we saw in the shots below (gallery includes copies of the menus and gratuitous food porn).

  1. Looks tasty! I just wish they had some less-expensive entrees. The prices are a bit steep for those of us on a budget…

  5. Vancouver already has a restaurant called ‘The Acorn’. It’s on 4th and Alma.

  6. Took 5 people for dinner at The Acorn on Thursday night and everyone was blown away. The food was exquisite. We tried 2 appys, 4 mains, and 2 deserts – all were wonderful. The wine was great and the kraft beers very easy to drink. The service was fast and efficient. In all it was a fantastic evening. Welcome to Vancouver and keep up the great work.
