Scout’s alphabetical Craft Beer Atlas of Vancouver was designed to grow with our brewing scene, so from time to time – like right now – we add new entries.
For Container Brewing, first timers Dan Webster and Terry Brown brought in Tim Juul – formerly Head Brewer at Massachusetts’ Fort Hill Brewery – to help bring their dream to 1216 Franklin Ave. in late 2019. Designed by Simcic + Uhrich Architects, the two-level, 67 seat brewery and tasting facility quickly found an eager customer base for its 12 taps, tasty Welsh rarebits and second-storey views of BC Sugar and the North Shore peaks.
Fave brew to date: ‘Pour Le Mineurs’ Grisette (3.2% ABV).
Love this brewery… their Forter Footer West Coast IPA is the best in the city.
