The Goods from Provence Marinaside
Vancouver, BC | “What the world needs now is love, sweet love.” The words of the classic pop song couldn’t be truer, or more needed, right now.
Food is the ultimate love language, and the French have long understood its key role in wooing and romance. Provence Marinaside’s Owner/Executive Chef Jean-Francis Quaglia believes that cooking and sharing good food IS an act of love. “We wouldn’t be in this business, if we weren’t passionate about cooking for people and sharing a bit of comfort and love with every dish,” he says.
Chef Jean-Francis and his brigade of incurable romantics (chefs) have designed a special, one-night-only, seven-course Dîner d’Amoureux pour Deux (priced at $145 pp) that is sure to capture the heart of your beloved.
Of course, any romantic dinner must include wine. The job of pairing a dinner such as this with the right wines is a project eagerly embraced by Wine Director Joshua Carlson. “I concentrated on French wines from the Languedoc, for this romantic ‘dîner pour deux’ as they perfectly enhance the flavours in each dish. Of course, guests don’t have to order the pairing, it’s completely optional. They may wish instead to celebrate with a favourite wine or bubbles. Our extensive wine list offers more than 260 wines, including 26 champagnes/sparkling wines (13 of which are available by the glass).” The optional wine pairing is available for $65 per person.
Celebrate your someone special by whisking them off to Vancouver’s own ‘corner of the south of France’ at Provence Marinaside for a romantic Dîner d’Amoureux Pour Deux – available one night only on Friday, February 14. This will be the only menu served at Provence Marinaside that night, there will be no à la carte options available.
The restaurant requests that guests respect this as an adults-only event. Reservations are essential and must be secured with a credit card by calling Provence at 604-681-4144 or online.
