Sometimes Joy Is Just a Simple Plate of Pickled Vegetables (and a Daiquiri)

You Need To Try This is a running archive of all the awesome drinks and delicious dishes we’ve come across over the course of our professional and private lives.

The key that turns the ignition of your palate doesn’t have to be complicated. Case in point: pickled vegetables. When done well they can subtly zap the mouth and ready it for a cocktail onslaught. Doing the electrification for me recently were these diverse, literally mouth-watering beauties offered up at Mt. Pleasant’s Tocador. Followed by a classic daiquiri, they were an effective way of putting a good evening in gear.
