Kitsilano’s AnnaLena Introduces Erin Searle as Restaurant Chef

the GOODS from Annalena

Vancouver, BC | Kitsilano’s most celebrated Canadian eatery, AnnaLena, is thrilled to introduce an amazing woman who has stepped into the role as Restaurant Chef, Erin Searle.

Achieving her Red Seal and Culinary Arts Certificate at Vancouver Community College, Erin joins the team after growing her talents in the Sous Chef position at highly recognized Vancouver restaurants, Bacchus at the Wedgewood Hotel and Diva at the Met. She sharpened her skills even further most recently in the split Chef / GM role at Meat & Bread after taking some time away to feed something besides customers – herself and her travel bug.

Growing up in Edmonton and having roots in Atlantic Canada, family meals and seafood feasts shaped Erin’s love and appreciation for cuisine early on. Her country roots have her spending off-the- line time either exploring the outdoors, fishing, camping and hiking, or enjoying a cold brew with friends while watching MMA, hockey, or a good-humoured comedy show.

“My goal has always been to break away from the typical kitchen stereotypes surrounding anger and ego and instead establish a positive work environment,” says Erin. “AnnaLena is known for taking a modern approach to local cuisine, while simultaneously creating great vibes and ambiance in the dining room. I look forward to contributing creatively to their evolution.”

When we asked Erin to sum up her work / life philosophy in a single quote, she pulled out the goods from G.O.A.T basketball player, Michael Jordan:  Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. This alone makes it pretty clear she’s going to fit in very well with the AnnaLena team.
