Strathcona To Score Neighbourhood Joint “The Heatley” At 696 East Hastings St.

The Heatley is a new, woody Strathcona restaurant that’s coming to us from former Alibi Room sous chef Michael Brennan. Located on the corner of Hastings and Heatley in the old Heatley Block building (696 East Hastings), the space was a full gut reno.

We can expect an unpretentious, neighbourhood-focused eatery serving seasonal menus of reasonably priced comfort foods made with locally sourced ingredients, as well as a selection of East Van microbrews, a few Okanagan wines on tap, and some straight-forward, easy-to-execute cocktails.

When it opens in February (crossed fingers), The Heatley will serve dinner seven nights a week from 5pm until midnight. Expect lunch service to follow in time. More details soon.
