Vancouver, BC | Chef Andrey Durbach celebrates his favourite season with his annual Game & Mushroom Festival, now in its eighth year. From October 17th through 31st, in celebration of the Autumn season, La Buca and Pied-a-Terre restaurants will be serving special set menus featuring the wild mushrooms available in our region at this time of year as well as game meats and other specialty items.

“Not only is October my favourite time of year in Vancouver but it is also my favourite culinary season.” Durbach says. “In both the Italian and French culinary traditions, some of the most delicious dishes are based around seasonally-foraged mushrooms and rich, flavourful meats.”

La Buca will feature two menus during the festival: a 3 course menu for $49 and a 4 course menu for $58. Highlights include items such as seared tuna with chanterelles, garlic, and parsley, and handmade pappardelle with sausage and roasted field mushrooms. At Pied-à-Terre, a 3 course menu will be on offer for $49. It will see frisée with crisp wild boar belly lardons with poached duck egg, and mushroom croutons, and a grilled veal T-bone steak with wild mushroom risotto (among many other options).
