I first saw this incredible series back in my early 20’s and have only just rediscovered it this week on YouTube. Through only a woefully insufficient six episodes with stirring, hilarious, and overly dramatic voice overs from a deadpanning Robb Webb, Fishing With John sees actor/musician John Lurie (star of Down By Law and Stranger Than Paradise) fishing in international locations with eclectic guest stars Dennis Hopper, Matt Dillon, Jim Jarmusch, Willem Defoe, and Tom Waits. If I recall correctly, it was Waits who put a live snapper down his boxer shorts. Screw Lost, this is television at its very finest…(parts 2 and 3 after the jump)
