A no messing around guide to the coolest things to eat, drink and do in Vancouver and beyond. Community. Not clickbait.

PR From Denman’s Raincity Grill

From the Department of Press Releases comes this missive from Scout member Raincity Grill:

Raincity Grill began celebrating all things Vancouver in 1992, becoming one of the first restaurants in the region to firmly embrace local ingredients. In large part, Raincity Grill has helped to define Pacific Northwest cuisine. Now, their approach has evolved to “the more local, the better”, which describes much more than the extraordinary palette of flavours brought to the restaurant by the community of farmers and fishers we are proud to know. It also reflects Raincity Grill’s commitment to making every effort to ensure a sustainable future for everyone who helps put local food on our table, and for all of us who relish it.

Further supporting local producers by bringing consumer attention to them, Raincity Grill now proudly displays a Local Artisan Farmers page on their website (www.raincitygrill.com/suppliers). This page not only lists and outlines the farmers and food artisans that Raincity Grill works with, but illustrates the relationships that have been built over the years. One of Raincity Grill’s first regional menus featured the relatively unknown region of Agassiz and introduced guests to Farm House Natural Cheeses, Swift Aquaculture and more. Due to the dedication of these farmers, a cooperative delivery system was implemented to ensure Raincity Grill received its orders in a timely manner, an initiative that continues today. For more information about Raincity Grill and the Local Artisan Farmers they support, visit www.raincitygrill.com or call 604-685-7337.

For 16 years, Raincity Grill has defined Pacific Northwest cuisine, showcasing the unique ingredients of our local waters and small-lot farms – year round. Home of Canada’s premiere restaurant 100-Mile Menu and an award-winning Pacific Northwest wine list, Raincity Grill is dedicated to the bounty of our backyard. Situated in the heart of Vancouver’s West End, Raincity Grill captures the essence of Vancouver in food, wine and atmosphere. For more information or reservations, visit the restaurant at 1193 Denman Street in Vancouver, online at www.raincitygrill.com or call 604-685-7337.
