Dig The Hanging Noodle Motif At This Modern Noodle Bar In Changsha

The-Noodle-Rack_Lukstudio_Changsha_China_dezeen_936_10

(via) This 538 sqft noodle joint in Changsha, China caught our eyes on account of its central design feature: hundreds of thin, noodle-like wires suspended between scaffolds of steel and shimmering with ambient light. We also dig the clean lines and bamboo-cast concrete of the facade. Designed this year by Shanghai’s Lukstudio, the aptly named Noodle Rack would fit in just about anywhere in Vancouver, but we’d rather have it tucked away alone and shining bright in a quiet residential neighbourhood (Via Tevere style) than on a busy downtown strip where its aesthetic impact might be diluted. Next to La Buca on the West Side would be nice! Photos: Peter Dixie.
