Penticton, BC | Laughing Stock Vineyards is pleased to announce that the Futures Offering for Portfolio 2012 will be available as of February 1st, 2014. This vintage release is particularly noteworthy as it’s the 10th vintage release of Portfolio, our flagship Bordeaux inspired blend. As well, this Futures release will be the last time that Portfolio Futures are offered to the public, as the winery has decided to cap the growth of this program by limiting future offers to members of their Preferred Share Wine Club.

In the investment industry, you aren’t really taken seriously as a money manager until you can post 10 year performance numbers. For the past decade, Portfolio has routinely won top accolades from wine competitions and wine critics alike. And this 10th vintage will be a chart-topper from the stellar 2012 growing year.

“2012 was one of the best growing conditions we’ve had in the Okanagan,” says David Enns, owner and winemaker. “The trial blends we are assembling show a suppleness, opulence and intensity of fruit that will be hallmarks of this great vintage. A stunning wine to cap a decade of winemaking.”

The Futures Offering provides early subscribers with the option to secure orders of Portfolio for a limited time at an advantageous price of $35 per bottle before it is released to the public later this fall. Release price for Portfolio 2012 will be $45 per bottle.

Due to the growing demand for Portfolio, the winery is planning to cap the growth by limiting Portfolio Futures purchases to just Preferred Share Wine Club members in 2015. Thus this is the last year that Futures is offered to the public during the month of February. Only by becoming a shareholder of our Preferred Share Wine Club for Portfolio Futures by February 28, will members then be guaranteed to receive Futures pricing on upcoming vintages. Portfolio Futures Wine Club memberships are limited to 500 members, which is only 100 more than the current membership. Wine club members receive other shareholder benefits like FREE shipping across Canada (to most major markets). We are looking forward to assembling this year’s Portfolio and have a number of 10th Vintage events including a 10 –year vertical tasting in planning stages to celebrate this top decile performer.
